Saints to host Muay Thai show in Plymouth

Date: 20th April (TBC)
Location: Plymouth Uni (TBC)
This will be a 'Saints Vs' show with all the blue corner fighters coming from Saints. So there will be 12+ fighters at the gym, all training for a fight on the same show - should make for an excellent training atmosphere from Jan onwards!

Christi wins WPMF belt

In front of 3000+ spectators and live on Thai TV, Christi beat Finland's Outi Louhimo by points. This was a full thai rules match over 5x3min rounds. And on her return to UK, christi was also awarded her 6th grade in Muay Thai.
Not a bad year overall!

6th grade in Muay Thai (about half way to full Kru (teacher))

Christi new WIKBA junior intercontinental champion.
Christi stands in as last minute replacement and beats American champion, Victoria Beltran by rnd 5 TKO!
The reff sensibly stopped the fight in round five. Victoria took a standing 8 in round 2 and imho Christi won every other round too. Victoria scored with turning heel kick, boxing, leg kick and pushed forward aggressively. She showed a strong straight knee but I don't think she landed one(?). Christi scored with boxing, running leg kick, rib kick, teep to face, grappling. Her balance was good. Pics to follow....

Christi confirmed to fight for WPMF title 51 kg. at Sanamluang, Bangkok on Dec 4th against Outi Louhimo (Combat Academy of Finland). This is a very prestigious fight in front of the King of Thailands palace in celebration of his birthday. Christis first international bout - how cool is that?

Christi defeats her opposition on Master A's show in Manchester.

Christi Campbell defeats opponent Debbie Mulloch in every round over 5 x 2 European rules thai boxing.

Christi takes a loss in Crawley

Christi took one weeks notice to fight No5 ranked Ruth Ashdown over 5x2 in Crawley. Christi lost on a very close decision (I actually thought shed won it) in front of Ruths home crowd. Teriffic experience for Christi and her first ever bust nose :-) Watch out for the rematch!

Return of the uni students.

Big thanks to Ashley, Frank and Christi for helping out at the first university session of the year. Its great to see so many smiling hopefull faces. Poor things dont know what they are letting themselves in for!

busy busy busy at the university

Christi takes 1 weeks notice to fight No5 ranked Ruth Ashdown. The show is at Ruths home venue in Crawley where Christi will be stepping in to take the place of No2 ranked Chanel Borgen. This was originaly a title fight but as Christi is so wee, they wont let her fight for a title. So she fights for pride and experience and FUN. Tickets at the gym for anyone able to make the trip up on Sunday 7th Oct.

Paul Rimmer and Frank both matched on the 'All Fired Up' show on Nov 3rd at the Guildhall Plymouth. Good luck lads :-)

Christi wins - again!
Woking Aug 19th. A strong performance from our little 14yr old star gave her a unanimous win over adult Cara Nodwell (St Albans).
Heres the vid taken from our corner - proper DVD out soon.

Paul dominated the grapple

Another fight for Paul
Woking August 19th. I think Paul drew the 1st round (the clinch scores well in Muay Thai), lost the 2nd round and if I had given him better corner advice, he would have clinched his way to victory in the third. Alas! Heres the fight.

Could have done with a couple more of these!

Paul steps up to the mark...
Despite taking a 2nd rnd TKO, Paul McCullum showed terrific form and new-found aggression in his muay thai bout this weekend in Wolverhampton. Well done Paul.

1st ever fight....
Troy Campbell (Christi's little bro') took a points loss on the same show - hard luck Troy. More knees in the clinch!!!

June 07

Christi Campell completes her 5th grade in Muay Thai. Well done!
